What's the question details? Got a picture of it? :)
the question ask:
ABCD is a parallelogram whose diagonals meet at E. Given that A(-3,8), B(1,1) and C( 9,-2),calculate
a) the coordinates of D and E,
b) the area of ABCD

textbook had provide answer , a) D(5,5), E(3,3) but i dun know how come @@ haha pengsan

Since it's a parallelogram, the opposite sides will have same lengths, right? So AB = CD. So first we find the horizontal and vertical distance between A and B. (It looks a bit like finding the transformation hehe)

Horizontal distance of AB
= -3 - 1
= -4
Vertical distance of AB
= 8 - 1
= 7

Now we use the info we gathered to find D, cuz AB and DC distance is same ( as you can see in the picture)!
D = (9 - 4  ,  -2 + 7)
D = (5 , 5)

Now to find E, which is the midpoint of BOTH the lines AC and BD. So you can just pick any line and find its midpoint.

Midpoint of AC = ( \frac{-3 + 9}{2}   ,  \frac{8 - 2}{2} )
                      = (3, 3)
