( Silent ) mutation: does not change an amino acid, but in some cases can still have a phenotypic effect, example : by speeding up or slowing down protein synthesis, or by affecting splicing. Frameshift mutation: Deletion or insertion of a number of bases that is not a multiple of 3.
i cant understand...can u pls explain to me
There are a 4 type mutation out there. For Missense mutation, the amino acid charges to another type of amino acid. For Nonsense mutation, the synthesis of enzyme will stop completely. For “Silent” mutation, sometime, synthesis of enzyme will speed or slow down. For, frameshift mutation, Deletion or insertion of a number of bases that is not a multiple of 3. Overall, the effect is more likely to slow down or stop the synthesis of enzyme/protein.
Thank you 4 ir explanation... :)
