In the novel 'Dear Mr.Kilmer', an event that makes me angry is when Hannah is bullied in school due to racial prejudice. She is called a 'dirty hun' and her parents' tavern is vandalised by the people. This makes me angry because although her parents come from Germany, I feel that Hannah is an American. She is born in America and her parents have made America their home for a long time. In fact, her own brother, Otto, is serving the US army.
Therefore, I feel that her classmates have no right to bully her just because she has German background. We should learn to accept people despite the differences in race, religion and nationality. Furthermore, it is wrong to bully people who clearly mean no harm to us.
